Owners your fund has never met each with a reason to meet now
We find companies owned by their founders that fit your thesis, approach them in your fund's name before any process exists, and book the meeting. Each one arrives with a brief on a single page. You pay only for meetings that meet four conditions, never for a company you already knew.
- Built forPrivate equity, family offices, independent sponsors
- CompaniesEBITDA up to $25M, control or significant stake
- GeographyUnited States and Western Europe
- First meetingsTypically from day 50 to 65
The companies you want most are rarely for sale yet
A company bought outside a competitive process typically avoids one to three turns of EBITDA on the entry multiple. On a company valued at eight times its EBITDA, a single turn can exceed the cost of a year of origination.
Your BD lead can only reach so many owners in a week. We add reach under your fund's name without adding headcount.
You pay for a meeting only when all four are true
- 1The company fits the thesis you validated.
- 2An owner or shareholder is in the room.
- 3The meeting actually takes place.
- 4Your fund did not already know the company.
You confirm within 7 days. A meeting that misses any of the four is not billed. If your fund already knew the company, it costs nothing.
Why the first meeting comes from day 50 to 65
Nothing is sent before your mandate is written. The first thirty days go into warming the domains that carry your fund's name, so your own deliverability is never at risk. That is why the first qualified meeting comes from day 50 to 65, and why it is worth taking.
Mandate
Fixing what you are buying and why, before any owner is approached.
- Acquisition criteria, written and ranked
- Your sector and geography lane, reserved
- Exclusions agreed in writing, starting with companies you already know
- The reasons this lane could produce no meetings, written before any approach
- Approach messaging, agreed with you
Groundwork
Building the universe from the source, then reading each company against your thesis.
- Sending domains warmed in your fund's name, for about 30 days
- Target universe built from filings and registries
- Each company screened against your thesis
- Dated signals tracked for each target
Approach
Reaching owners directly, in your fund's name, before a banker does.
- Owners approached directly, in your fund's name
- Replies handled until a meeting is set
- Meeting booked in your calendar
Meeting and beyond
Every meeting is documented, confirmed by you, and followed through the next dated steps.
- A brief on a single page before every meeting
- Your confirmation within 7 days
- NDA and LOI tracked as dated steps
Reported by outcome not by volume
- Companies in the universe, screened, approached, replied and met
- Meetings qualified, and the ones that were not, with the reason
- The tiers that produced nothing, and what we changed
- Your lane, still yours
Every meeting arrives with a brief
Each brief answers the two questions your partner will ask: why this company, and why now. The why now is a dated fact, not a guess.
- Company
- Specialty industrial distributor, Midwest US
- Size
- Revenue $38M · EBITDA $6.2M · 140 employees
- Fit to your thesis
- Owned by its founder, B2B, recurring maintenance contracts, inside your EBITDA range
- Why now
- Founder, 64, set up a personal holding company in August 2026. No successor named.
- Ownership
- 100% founder. Not marketed, no banker engaged.
- Meeting
- Founder and CFO · 45 minutes · your partner and BD lead
Three kinds of buyer one method
Private equity
Your team screens well and reaches few owners. What you lack is the first conversation before a banker has it.
Family offices
No deal team and no fund clock. Your patience is an advantage only if someone starts the conversation.
Independent sponsors
No committed fund behind you. An owner needs to understand who you are before the first call.
Built for funds actively deploying
A fit if you
- Are deploying capital in the next twelve months
- Have a clear thesis: sector, size, geography
- Want owner conversations, not auctions
- Have a partner or BD lead to take the meetings
Not a fit if you
- Want a database to mine yourself
- Prefer processes run by bankers
- Need a negotiator or transaction advice
- Are not deploying in the next twelve months
Saying no early is cheaper for both sides
- A second fund in a sector and geography already reserved
- A thesis that cannot be written on one page
- A fund that is not deploying in the next twelve months
Questions BD leads ask first
Under whose name do you approach owners?
Yours. Each approach goes out in your fund's name, from domains we operate, so your own deliverability stays untouched. Our standards are public.
What if we already know the company?
Then it is not a qualified meeting and it is not billed. Flag it within 7 days.
What if a lane produces nothing?
We tell you by the end of the second month, with the tiers that failed. Usually the criteria need rewriting, not the market.
Will you work for a competing fund?
Not in the same sector and geography. Your lane is yours for the length of the engagement.
Are you a broker dealer?
No. We do not negotiate, structure or close transactions, and we are never paid on them.
Why does the first meeting take 50 to 65 days?
About 30 days go into warming the domains that carry your fund's name, so nothing reaches an owner before it can land. The rest goes into your mandate and the universe. We would rather say it now than promise a meeting in week two.
